Accessibility statement
How accessible this website is, and how to tell us about a problem.
Eastbourne Education Business Partnership is committed to making this website
usable by as many people as possible, whatever their abilities. This statement
explains how accessible the site is, what we know is not yet right, and how to
tell us about a problem.
How accessible this website is
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
We believe most of this website meets that standard. The following are in place:
- a “skip to content” link at the top of every page
- text that can be resized to 200% without loss of content or function
- colour contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 for body text and 3 to 1 for large text
- descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning
- a visible keyboard focus outline on every link, button and form field
- navigation and dropdown menus that work with a keyboard alone
- headings used in order, so the page structure can be navigated by screen reader
- animation and hover effects that are switched off automatically if your device
is set to reduce motion
What we know is not fully accessible
- Archive photographs. Our Eastbourne Youth Radio gallery holds
photographs preserved from an older website. Many carry only a general description
rather than a detailed one. - Press archive documents. The PDFs in our press archive date from
2010 onwards. Most are scans of printed newspaper pages and are not tagged for
screen readers. We cannot practically re-create them, but we are happy to describe
the contents of any document on request. - Third party content. Our listen again player is provided by
Mixcloud and our forms by Gravity Forms. We do not control the accessibility of
those services, though we load the player only when you choose to.

Reporting accessibility problems
We are always looking to improve. If you find a problem that is not listed above,
or you think we are not meeting the standard, please tell us by email or telephone
using the details above. Let us know the page address and what went wrong, and we
will look into it.
Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the
accessibility regulations. If you are unhappy with how we respond to your complaint,
contact
the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
Technical information
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
version 2.2 AA standard, because of the non-compliances listed above under
“What we know is not fully accessible”.
